The idea was straightforward: create an insurance solution that genuinely understands and works for escape rooms – not as a niche on a spreadsheet, but as a living, creative, risk-filled industry run by passionate people.
We launched publicly a few weeks later at Game On 2025, hosted by Zolitopia.
It felt like the right place to start. Game On has always been about community, shared learning, and pushing the industry forward – values that align closely with what No Spoilers is trying to do.
That number still surprises us, and not because of growth for growth’s sake, but because each policy represents a venue that has trusted us with something incredibly important, their livelihood.
One of the things we’re most proud of is that we now insure 38% of the venues hosting games in the UK Top 100, as ranked by Escape The Review’s 2025 results:
https://escapethereview.co.uk/the-100-best-escape-rooms-in-the-uk-2025/
That’s not something we take lightly. Many of those venues are widely regarded as the best in the country, and we’re hugely grateful to the UK escape room community for putting their faith in us.
With enormous help from Simon and the team at Escapologic
https://www.escapologic.com/
…we managed to get almost 60 escape room owners in a room together to hear talks from industry experts, share experiences, and have honest conversations about the realities of running venues today.
That event reinforced something we already believed: the escape room industry is at its best when people collaborate, not compete.
Of course, it hasn’t all been smooth sailing. It’s hard not to feel that Brexit has put a ceiling on what could have been, because without it, we’re confident we’d already be insuring many of the top venues across the EU as well. For now, our focus remains firmly on supporting the UK market as well as we possibly can.
First, we’ll be launching our very first newsletter: REDACTED.
REDACTED will share:
Second, we’re already planning our next owner meetup, which will take place in Brighton on 16th March 2026. We’ll be sharing more details soon, but the goal remains the same: bring owners together, create space for meaningful conversation, and strengthen the community.
We’ll also continue travelling the UK, playing as many escape rooms and immersive experiences as possible. Not just because it’s fun (though it very much is), but because staying close to the player and operator experience is essential to doing our job properly.
Finally At the end of 2025, we launched a survey to better understand the challenges of running escape rooms and immersive venues in the UK.
Currently, uptake is a little lower than we’d hoped, and for the insights to be genuinely useful to the community, we need more voices involved.
All responses are fully anonymised, and no data will be shared with third parties. If you run an escape room or immersive venue, we’d really appreciate you taking part here:

Ten months in, we’re only just getting started.
Thank you to everyone who’s been part of the journey so far. We’re excited to see where the next year takes us.
