As we look back on the last 12 months, it’s fair to say our first year as No Spoilers has been a busy one. It’s been full of escape rooms (a lot of escape rooms), new conversations, new challenges, and more than a few long drives around the UK and beyond.

Here’s a look back at how the year unfolded.

March 2025

We officially launched No Spoilers at the Game On conference in Canterbury. Beth and Michael learned a huge amount, met some brilliant people behind some of the best escape rooms in Europe, and introduced our bespoke branding, brand new website… and the now slightly infamous travel mugs.

Shortly after launch, we were lucky enough to start working with our very first client. A few days later, our first enquiry even landed via ChatGPT, which felt like a quietly momentous milestone.

April 2025

Omar and Michael travelled to Scotland for a RiskBox event but couldn’t resist taking a small detour to play some escape rooms in Glasgow, including Riddle Rooms and Locked In. That was soon followed by a trip to Yorkshire, where director Michael finally reached the 200-game mark at Beverley Breakout.

May 2025

This month showcased the flexibility of No Spoilers, as we insured our first axe throwing venue, Battle Masters. Michael also made it to Amsterdam to play The Alchemist at Sherlocked at last.

His only comment on the ending was that it was mind-blowing. He refused to elaborate. No spoilers means no spoilers.

June 2025

Ryan and Michael headed to the Midlands for ScareCON, where they learned a great deal about the scarier side of immersive entertainment. That insight proved invaluable when building insurance that genuinely works for jump scares and horror-led escape rooms.

July 2025

We began working with our first 100% VR escape room client. After meeting Craig at Game On earlier in the year, it was great to start working with his growing business, VR Escape.

August 2025

Holiday season, but not a break from games. Michael visited Escaparium Laval and played some of the best escape rooms in the world, including Magnifico, Ctrl Alt Reboot and The Cathedral.

September 2025

We hosted our first No Spoilers meet-up in Nottingham, with huge thanks to Simon and the team at Escapologic. Talks from Sam at Immersif and Lewis, co-founder of Escapement, were followed by a panel discussion exploring Intellectual Property risks in escape rooms.

October 2025

We exhibited at the Immersive Experience Network Summit in London, catching up with familiar faces and meeting plenty of new ones. The talks were excellent, with a particular highlight being Nick from Phantom Peak explaining the unexpected connection between burgers and platypuses.

November 2025

We launched our first industry survey, asking escape room owners for honest feedback on what it’s really like to run a business in today’s volatile economic environment. Michael also submitted his rankings for the 2025 TERPECA best rooms awards.

December 2025

We took our escape room insurers, HCC, on a tour of some South East escape rooms, including a jungle experience at Darkmaster. The month finished with a sneak preview of the impressive Canterbury Tales Experience.

January 2026

We announced what we hope will be our own Empire Strikes Back, with news of our second escape room owner meet-up, scheduled for March in Brighton. We also announced our first speaker, David Goodman from Hounds.

February 2026

We reached the milestone of 100 escape room and immersive sector clients, and the number continues to grow. We now insure hundreds of escape rooms across the UK, as well as venues offering axe throwing, rage rooms, splash art, VR games, indoor golf, and even zombie runs.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone in the industry who has welcomed us so warmly. No Spoilers exists to help people run brilliant escape rooms and immersive experiences without the constant worry of what happens if something goes wrong.

Here’s hoping the next 12 months are just as much fun.
